In this one-day course, you will learn how to use Intelligent Viewing in Extended ECM to collaboratively review, compare, annotate, transform, and publish documents. With Intelligent Viewing as integrated services, you can view and annotate different file types without installing native software applications. For example, you don¡¯t need to install Microsoft Word, Microsoft Photo Viewer, Microsoft Excel, or Autodesk AutoCAD to view documents, images, worksheets, or drawings.

• View and perform content searches using the Match Case, Whole Word, and Include Markups options
• Use the text and graphical compare features to identify changes in documents
• Add markups and filter annotations by visibility, author, type, and keywords
• Perform and add takeoff measurements to drawings
• Publish annotated documents and drawings as PDF or TIFF files
• Convert documents with text images to searchable PDF files
• Apply annotation and publication skills by working with prescribed use cases

• Use the Intelligent Viewing toolbar when viewing different file types

• Use the text compare feature to identify changes made in documents
• Use the graphical compare feature to identify changes made in drawings
• Add image, shape, and proofreading markups to documents
• Filter annotations in documents based on public or private visibility, author, type, and keywords
• Redact linear or entire sections of text in documents
• Add changemarks with comments in drawings
• Display or hid layers in drawings
• Calibrate measurements for takeoffs
• Add takeoff categories to drawings
• Perform and add takeoff measurements in drawings
• Publish documents as PDF or TIFF files
• Burn markups into published files (PDF only)
• Append comments and redaction reasons to published files
• Add security and permissions to published files (PDF only)
• Add watermarks and banners to published files
• Transform image files (or documents containing images) to searchable content through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) conversion
• Identify relevant use cases for Intelligent Viewing
• Perform the tasks associated with the identified role in each use case
• Generate PDF output files for the purposes of each use case
