In this three-day course, you will learn about logging options and settings in Content Server, through its Administration pages and a number of configuration files. Discover the foundation of troubleshooting while learning how to extract, interpret, and analyze information using Content Server's logs. You will also learn to recognize server issues, database connectivity, and indexing problems.

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Enable and configure various Content Server logging options, typically to aid in troubleshooting issues
- Understand the different logging options and how to implement them from the administration pages and other configuration files
- Identify different types of Content Server errors and where they come from
- Understand the differences between server errors, database errors, and search errors
- Develop a basic Content Server troubleshooting methodology
- Provide high-level administrative and help desk support for a mature Content Server system
- Educate your help desk in how to resolve basic Content Server issues and develop a help desk FAQ
- Learn about the resources provided by ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV and My Support to support your system and users
- Utilize summary timing enabled logs in conjunction with ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Performance Analyzer to evaluate system performance using OTPA results and metrics
- Describe the features and functionality offered by ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Monitoring Agent (OTMA) to provide real-time system monitoring and ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Informant (CSI) an optional module that provides monitoring of Content Server clusters
